I've long been fascinated by artificial intelligence, only more so now that AI tools are becoming more mainstream. Lately I've been playing around with text to image generation using tools like Dall-e 2 and Stable Diffusion.

Most recently I've learned to train the AI on an image and then combine that with different "prompts" to generate new art.

In the examples above, for example, one of the prompts was something like "A portrait of Dennis in the style of Matisse." (Also, FYI, third from the top left is my regular headshot, as a reference for those of you who don't know what I look like).

The computer knows what I look like because I was able to train the machine learning algorithm with a series of pictures of me.

Below you can see a few more examples, courtesy of my brave volunteers Karen and Marco. In both cases I've included a real photo in the collage as a reference.

To get an idea what can be produced by different AI text prompts, check out Lexica.

I'm now offering this service as an add-on to my standard headshot sessions, so let me know if you're interested!
