Kelli came to the studio the other day for some acting headshots. I know Kelli from photographing her wedding last year, and was delighted to have the chance to work with her again.
At her wedding, Kelli was totally in the moment and I got many great candids of her. She wasn't paying too much attention to the camera that day, which is how I like it.
What I didn't anticipate was how great Kelli would be when she was addressing the camera and taking direction. Once I realized I was working with a pro, I had some fun calling out emotions and situations for her to act out: "Happy Kelli! Now distraught. Confused. Someone just gave you a puppy! Oh wait, that puppy is for someone else..."
In the end, we got a lot of great headshots with a range of looks to appeal to different types of clients. Now all I ask is that she doesn't forget the little guys like me when she's hanging with the glitterati in a few years!
